Every year at Tales of the Cocktail, Hubig’s Pies serves up its sugar-glazed fried pies as the official snack of the annual cocktail conference’s staff and volunteers. But unfortunately this year on the Friday of the conference, a devastating fire ripped through Hubig’s, a bakery that had been selling pies since the ’20s.
But now efforts are being made to help rebuild the legendary bakery. This past Thursday TOTC and Fleurty Girl hosted a party where they sold Hubig t-shirts (proceeds going to the rebuild) and served up a complimentary Hubigs-inspired cocktail created by Chris Hannah of Arnaud’s French 75.
